High Power (54mm J and K motors)
This is a scratch built rocket using high power construction methods.

The fins are fabricated by laminating with epoxy, copper clad G-10 fiberglass between aircraft plywood sheets.

The motor tube with centering rings. Note that the fins are fiberglassed through the body to the motor mount.

This rocket uses dual deployment for recovery.
The drogue is deployed from the motor assembly at apogee.
The primary is deployed from the upper section electronically.

The good news is that the vehicle fell under partial chute and only damaged the payload stage coupler.
